Changeworks is a recognised leader in the delivery of solutions that enable people to live and work more sustainably. We are an environmental charity and social enterprise, working in collaboration with public and third sector organisations, schools, communities and businesses to:
- Inspire and enable action to reduce CO2, waste and fuel poverty
- Build confidence and skills to make sustainable choices
- Share our knowledge and learn from others to maximise our impact
- Deliver the best possible service creatively and professionally.
Changeworks’ Consultancy team co-ordinated the LEAF project. We have an extensive track record in supporting organisations with developing projects, research, evaluation, training and best practice for environmental sustainability. Our expertise includes energy efficiency and renewable energy, behaviour change support, energy in hard-to-treat buildings and conservation areas, fuel poverty and stock analysis.
The project built on our previous award-winning demonstration projects such as Renewable Heritage and Energy Heritage. We have recently carried out research into the barriers and solutions for retrofitting apartments (known as ‘tenements’) in Scotland: Communal improvements – energy efficiency in tenements in Scotland. We have also produced a guide to improving the energy efficiency of tenements.
