Date: 9 October 2015, 10:00 – 12:30
Location: City Chambers, Edinburgh
Overview: The City of Edinburgh Council, Changeworks and the Energy Saving Trust co-hosted a workshop to discuss EESSH (Energy Efficiency Standard for Social Housing). EESSH is a new standard to be introduced in Scotland with the aim of increasing the energy efficiency of social housing stock in order to reduce fuel poverty.
The workshop brought together social landlords from across Edinburgh providing a platform for EESSH to be discussed and an opportunity for landlords to share experiences, problems, ask questions and hear from some key speakers. This included a presentation on LEAF by Drew Murphy, Changeworks. The presentation explored the challenges associated with retrofit of multiple occupancy buildings (with reference to the LEAF case studies) and explained how the toolkits can be used to support social landlords through this process.
